Please note the following funding programs have recently opened which may be of interest to your affiliates:

Get Playing Places and Spaces – funding to improve facilities

Get Going – funding to help clubs grow

· Funding to support not-for-profit local sport and recreation organisations to create and provide access to participation opportunities for              Queenslanders.
· Organisations can apply for up to $7,500 (GST excl)
· Applications close 11 August 2017

Get Playing Places and Spaces – funding to improve facilities

· Funding for infrastructure development so that more Queenslanders can be involved in sport and active recreation.
· Organisations can apply for up to $150,000 (GST excl)
· Organisations are required to provide a minimum 20% co-contribution unless project is in a disaster declared local government area
· Applications close 11 August 2017

Sport and Recreation Services’ (SRS) regional office staff are available to provide advice and assistance to your affiliates. It is strongly recommended that your affiliates contact regional office staff to discuss their potential project prior to application. SRS regional offices contact details can be found at the SRS website or telephone 1300 656 191.

ROUND 2 – Club Development Funding Grant – NOW OPEN

The Motorcycling Queensland Club Development Funding program provides funds to respective affiliated clubs to support club and participation development across the sport.
Applications will be based on merit, with the aim of increasing sport participation, membership and bettering the sport of Motorcycling.

The Program will first and foremost provide funding in the areas of:
• Sport Development – coaching and rider skill development
• Officials education
• Club Growth and Development – governance, events & management

Important Dates
Round 2 applications will be accepted from the 1 July and close COB 15 August 2017, for activities being conducted between the 1 July and 31 December 2017.
Please note that no late applications will be accepted for Round 2 after the closing date of 15 August 2017.

The following supporting documentation must be submitted to Motorcycling Queensland with each funding application.
• A completed application form
• Project budget
• Copy of your Club Strategic Plan (highlighting the area this project relates to)
• Copy of the flyer/registration form for the ‘activity’ (flyers must acknowledge Motorcycling Queensland for the endorsement and funding of the ‘activity’)

National Parks, Sort and Racing - Young Athletes Travel Subsidy

The Young Athletes Travel Subsidy assists athletes and officials under 18 years of age with travel and accommodation costs associated with competing at nominated state, national and international sporting competitions.  Successful applicants may receive up to $200 for state, $400 for national and $600 for international events.  Applications are for reimbursement after traveling to the event. Promote this program to your representative players and officials now to make sure they don't miss out.


Gambling Community Benefit Fund

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) Round 94 will open mid-July and will close at 11.59pm on 31 August 2017,with grants up to the value of $35,000 (inclusive of GST) available. All eligible organisations are invited to submit grant applications to the Gambling Community BenefitFund through the new online grants portal.

Australian Sports Commission – Local Sporting Champions

The Local Sporting Champions program is an Australian Government initiative designed to provide financial assistance for young people aged 12 to 18 towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching or officiating at an official national sporting organisation (NSO) endorsed state, national or international sporting championships or a School Sport Australia state or national championship.
