While Tom Bramich (YRT, Yamaha YZF-R3) has managed to extend his championship lead in the Australian Supersport 300 class of YMF Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) presented by Motul Pirelli, it was Seth Crump who took his career first overall round win at Hidden Valley Raceway.
Crump used his Rock Oil, KTM RC 390 to fight off a fast-finishing Zac Levy (Puma RVs, Yamaha YZF-R3), Tom Bramich and Olly Simpson (Simpson Crash, Yamaha YZF-R3) in race two to take his first win in the class aboard his single cylinder KTM.
Next, the son of legendary speedway rider Jason Crump triumphed from what had been a pack of nine in the closing stages of the third race, to claim his second victory and the round win.
Crump was ecstatic to have completed the double victory; “That was an awesome race and to win the round is even better. I have to thank Jamie Stauffer because he helped me with the setup of the bike after that last race with the sliding I was experiencing.
The current points standings have Bramich extending his lead on 246 points, followed by Levy on 218 and Harry Khouri (Acid racing, Yamaha YZF-R3) on 201.
