It was a great start to the KTM South East Qld Junior Motocross Series at Kilcoy with nearly 400 bikes lining up over the windy weekend.
Local Kilcoy rider, Casey Wilmington (pictured) had an outstanding ride on the weekend, taking out 1st place in 65cc 10-11years A Grade and 3rd in 85cc 9-11years A Grade. The 85cc 9-11years was hotly contested with top placed 3 riders all locals, Jet Alsop taking 1st place and Liam Owens taking 2nd.
Some other outstanding results from local riders were Ryley Fitzpatrick, 1st in 85cc 12-15years A grade and 2nd in 125cc B grade closely followed by Quinn Barrett for 3rd in that class. Ashley Weaver took 2nd place honours in the 125cc C grade class while Kyle Harvey was on fire again winning all his races to take 1st place on his 50cc machine.
Looking forward to round 2 at Warwick with full senior classes including 3 time MX National Champion Dean Ferris. Dean will be at presentation each day to talk to and inspire up-and-coming riders.
Late entries are still open for Junior Riders until Wednesday.
