After careful consideration the Keppel Coast Dirt Bike Club has decided that the 2020 Yeppoon Enduro-X, scheduled for Saturday, October 31 2020 will not be run this year.
The event has grown from strength to strength since first launching in 2014 and has established itself as a popular, well-known yearly event for many, including some of the country’s world-class riders.
The Keppel Coast Dirt Bike Club prides itself on putting on a top class show for a large volume of spectators, and the success and atmosphere it has accumulated over time is a consequence of this effort. With the current border restrictions and current COVID climate, it would be impossible to invite the quality riders from interstate that has allowed us to amass a usual prize pool of over $10,500, and it is with these high standards in mind, that as you may appreciate, the Yeppoon Enduro-X is not an event that the club is prepared to de-value by ‘half-doing’.
The Keppel Coast Dirt Bike Club also recognises that it has been a difficult year for a number of our valued event sponsors who play a very important role in bringing this event to life each year.
The decision has been difficult one, and it’s important to us to let all our riders and sponsors who have got behind the Yeppoon Enduro-X in the past to know just how much we really appreciate and value their support.
We’re already planning our 2021 event, and we intend to make the next Yeppoon Enduro-X our biggest and best one yet.
Kind regards,
Paul Warr,
President, Keppel Coast Dirt Bike Club
