As Australians, we are now in uncharted territory with the declared Pandemic, due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, and the government recommendations around public mass gatherings, travel and social distancing.
It is with regret to inform all participants that all rounds of the Sunshine State MX Series are postponed until further notice. This decision has not been taken lightly and we have made this decision to protect the health and well-being of all attendees. We have done a lot of work leading up to this event to try to keep it going but with the further spread of the virus we believe it would be a damaging decision to run this event.
With the current situation with Covid-19 changing constantly we do not have any clear indication as to when this series will continue.
At this stage your entry will be rolled over until we are able to rerun Round 2. However, if you prefer a refund now please reply to this email with details of rider number and licence number. The refund will be credited to the credit card you paid with. Please be aware that a processing fee will be deducted by Omnisport. MQ or the MX Subcommittee is not holding any of your rider nomination if you request a refund.
We thank the clubs and sponsors for working with us in these hard times. Unfortunately, South Burnett JMC has already spent considerable time and money on getting ready and preparing for this event. They are still running their raffle so please support them by purchasing a raffle ticket. This can be done through messaging the club on facebook.
Please continue to support our sponsors where possible – Comiskey Mining Services, AE Group Civil & Mining, Maxxis Tyres, Motorex, AE4A, KTR, National Luna, Brisbane Dirt Bike Services, Serco, Matrix, Civil Skill, Southside Auto Auctions, MPE Suspension, Always Livin, MX Store, Gall Bros, Sarahs Moto Physio to Go, Overlanders & The Mobile Daily Grind.
Please protect yourself, stay safe and healthy.
We will keep you up to date as we receive more information. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Regards Anne Polsoni & MX Subcommittee
