Good luck to the Gold Coast’s Loftus siblings, who head for Europe this week.
Fifteen year-old Jordy will be representing Australia at the SGP3 U16 250cc Speedway Solos World Championships which begin with the Semi Finals in Teterow, Germany and Finals in Gorzow, Poland on 28 June.
Jordy is the only Queenslander selected having come second at the Australian Speedway Solo 250 Championships in late 2023.
Sixteen year-old Anika will represent Australia at the FIM Women’s Speedway Academy and then go on to compete in the FIM Women’s Gold Trophy. She will be racing on a 500cc speedway solo as one of the youngest competitors in the senior women’s class. This event will also be in Teterow with the Academy on the 20 & 21 June followed by the Gold Trophy on the 22 June.
Anika and Jordy are also hoping for selection to participate in the Ekstraliga Speedway Camp to be held in Toruń in early July.
